Jackson

Located in the famous Jackson Hole Valley, Jackson is a relatively small community. Despite the relatively small population, the city has a thriving economy due to tourism. As such, there are a wide variety of restaurants, businesses and stores in Jackson. The city is home to the annual Jackson Hole Writers Conference. Further, many celebrities like Tiger Woods, Sandra Bullock, Harrison Ford and Dick Cheney own property in the area.

Laramie

As far as cultural opportunities go, Laramie offers some fine events throughout the year. Some of these happenings include the Laramie Jubilee Days–a several day-long with live music, free food, carnival rides, a street fair and sporting and rodeo events. The community also has an up-to-date library that houses materials for both children and adults alike. Recreational undertakings in this area include cross-country trails, mountain biking, hiking, camping and rock climbing.

Green River

Green River is steeped in history. Originally incorporated in 1868 in Dakota Territory, the place has been influenced by Native Americans, ranchers, pioneers, miners and railroaders. The main industries in the city today include mining and the railroad. If you are looking for something to do in Green River, the Flaming Gorge Days always deliver. During this festival, you can partake in a golf tournament, play basketball, hear live music and engage in other fun activities. If you are a history buff, the County Historical Museum is a must-see sight. You can also enjoy recreational pursuits along the Green River or at the town’s modern recreation center.

Cheyenne

Cheyenne is both the largest city in Wyoming and the capital city. Known as the “Magic City of the Plains,” Cheyenne is located about 100 miles north of Denver, Colorado. Cheyenne hosts festivals and fairs throughout the year, including the Cheyenne Frontier Days, Super Day, The Goblin Walk, Oktoberfest and the Christmas Parade. The city is filled with parks where you can enjoy outdoor activities like rollerblading, biking and running. You can also thoroughly enjoy the nearby lakes, nature and skiing that is available in this area.

Casper

As the second most populous city in Wyoming, Casper boasts crowds of friendly residents and beautiful, natural landscapes. Casper’s amenities include top-notch restaurants, quality motels and a plethora of shopping and entertainment venues.  Recreational pursuits in this area include boating, camping, hiking, skiing, biking and more.
